DESCRIPTION
The project is an 800m/sq industrial unit with hardstanding areas situated on Bredbury Industrial Estate.
The site is approximately 0.74 hectares in area. The context of the design considered the neighbouring premises, and was consistent in design approach, use, density, scale and massing. Safety and security measures had been taken into account. Paladin fencing secures the perimeter together with a gated entrance. The building has a secure external envelope, internal security provisions were also provided by the client.
The unit consists of a steel portal frame design; clad in quality steel faced composite cladding system above 2.4 meters of facing brickwork at ground level. Windows and door sets were designed to be polyester powder coated framed with double glazing units to reduce any future maintenance.
The structure complies with Part L of the Building Regulations relating to air tightness and combines all the latest thermal standards of construction with the latest heating and ventilation technology to achieve the highest level of thermal efficiency with the lowest level of carbon emissions.
