Local Architects Firm Won LABC North West Building Excellence Awards 2010 – 18/01/2011
Tsiantar Architects Ltd, based in Altrincham, has just been awarded the LABC North West Building Excellence Awards 2010 for Best Individual Dwelling for its development at Kesedale in Appleton, Cheshire.

George Tsiantar, Principal Architect, and Dave Rees, Project Architect, are very proud and delighted to have won this award.
George Tsiantar says: “We were already very thrilled to have two of our projects short-listed for the category out of the total six coveting the award.
What is even more amazing is that originally, 32 local authorities put forward entries in the entire North West for the various categories. 6 were shortlisted for the Best Individual Dwelling category, so having two of our projects nominated by two different local authorities for the same category was for us an achievement in itself.
Obviously winning the award this year is fantastic, and we hope to build on our success to provide even more quality bespoke design for our clients in the future”.

The winning project, Kesadale, is a new build property in Appleton, a leafy suburb of Warrington, which has a stunning feature kitchen/family living space that takes the form of a sweeping curve, embracing the rear garden. The house is a mixture of contemporary and traditional materials using curved glass and zinc for the glass facades and roof respectively.
The second project short-listed for the award was a new build property on Stanhope Road in Bowdon, which is also short-listed for the Trafford Design Awards 2010 in the “Peoples” award category.
